Meet The Band

Dale Davis
Musical Director / Bass
As Amy’s musical director and bass player throughout her career, Dale also became one of her most trusted musical collaborators and friend. He is a hugely in-demand UK session musician who has also toured and recorded with Tina Turner, Mark Ronson, Norman Cook and Paul Young.
Amy was amazing. She had such a big heart and gave everything to her music and the people she loved. Hers is such an important musical legacy and with this show we aim to keep it alive throughout the world”.

Hawi Gondwe
Guitar
Hawi was Amy’s guitarist from 2007 – 2011, in the band for her memorable set at Glastonbury in 2008, full band shows throughout Europe and South America to intimate acoustic performances around the world. He has also performed and recorded with George Michael, Gnarls Barkley, Corinne Bailey-Rae and Sinead O’Connor.
She was inspired by the best jazz and soul music and through that developed a compelling style of her own, our show lets us celebrate and continue Amy’s hugely important place in musical history.

Nathan Allen
Drums
One of the most musical, sensitive and groovy soul drummers in the UK, Nathan was just 21 years old when he joined Amy’s band. Since then he has gone on to work with Tom Jones, Faith Evans, Natasha Bedingfield and many more.
Performing and recording with Amy was simply as good as it gets.

Stuart Anning
Drums
Stuart joined Amy’s band in 2003 and toured with her promoting the Frank album. He has also worked with a wide variety of artists including Ben’s Brother, Amy McDonald, Enrique Iglesias, Alexandra Burke and Lemar.
Amy was just 19 years old when I started working with her, and you could see that she would become a superstar. Her music and lyrics have a rare depth that defied her age and it’s an absolute pleasure to be able to play them again as part of The Amy Winehouse Band.

Adeleye Omotayo
Backing vocals and Dancer Extraordinaire
One of Amy’s beloved backing vocalists, Ade met Amy when she was 17. They played in the Bolsha band for years until she signed to Island Universal. Amy subsequently asked him to record backing vocals and tour on the now classic Back to Black album. Over the years he has performed/recorded with an illustrious array of acts – Michael Buble, Olly Murs, Basement Jaxx, Kindness, Matthew Herbert, Madness, Alex Clare, Kelela Mizanekristos and more. He most recently recorded a single Silent Running with Gorillaz.
Amy was truly magical. In my life she was like an angel.

Bronte Shande
Vocals
Hailing from Bristol, the city home to so many groundbreaking British music artists, Bronte Shande is at the forefront of a new wave of stunning young UK singers. Her roots and style sit firmly in the music of the great contemporary female vocalists, from Amy Winehouse, of course, to Jill Scott, Erykah Badu and Esperanza Spalding.
She is the closest to Amy in attitude, sound and vocal ability of anyone I’ve heard and she delivers Amys’ songs in such an incredibly authentic way. We’re so excited to have her join us!

Beth Morris
Vocals
Hailed by will.i.am as one of the fiercest performers he has ever seen and likened to Amy Winehouse and Freddie Mercury after reaching the finals of The Voice UK 2016, Beth has since built a formidable career on her own terms – her track Power In Your Soul (released under alias Luna LePage) has amassed over 3 billion streams. Her collaborations include Tiësto, Todd Terje, Izzy Bizu, Fanatix, and Fabish. Sold-out headline shows across the UK and opening slots for The Human League, Rudimental, and Grandmaster Flash confirm her as one of the most compelling live artists around.
